Do you ever have a mind so cluttered that you can't seem to figure anything out? Doesn't help to have a cluttered mind when you are trying to work out knitting math. As I sit and knit all these ideas come to mind. Ways to make things better. Ways to make things more standard. I have been working on knitting gloves & have been working with a couple of different patterns. It shouldn't be that difficult but why do I find that I'm confusing myself every time I pick the needles up again!
So, I have decided it is time to type up the clutter, get it out of my mind, so I can move on to getting my gloves finished. It is another way to simplify. Once I have my basic pattern figured out, I don't need all the other patterns floating around and I will have simplified my knitting of gloves.

Garter Stitch Mitts
I finally finished off a pair of mitts that I started a long time ago. And just in time as the weather has turned really cold!
My first project completed for the year was gloves for my daughter to go with a scarf I made for her for Christmas. The yarn was Chroma from Knit Picks. I love Knit Picks. They have great quality yarn at an affordable price.
Progress
I have been working hard with simplifying. Organization brings about simplicity so I have been hard at work. I'm creating lists - small lists to start with - of daily things that I need to get done. I've also started a fiber journal with goals. I hope to complete one small project a week and one large project a month. I will start posting my progress here in the hopes it will inspire me to continue.

New Beginnings
It is January, the time for beginnings and resolutions. I saw on Jane LeFazio's blog where she talked about a word to use for the year. For some reason, as I read her blog, the word "Simplify" popped into my mind. I tend to make things too complicated which bogs me down & causes me not to get enough done.
